Range of services

Marketing

Our marketing department is responsible for the management of the DMV brand portfolio and for the coordination of the entire product management (relaunches/launches, BTL/ATL campaigns etc.). Their close cooperation with key account management ensures the optimal (sales) support of the brands.

KAM

Six key account managers support our retail partners in the drugstores, food retail, supermarket, hypermarket, department store, perfumery and online retail sectors.

E-commerce

Our e-commerce team assists with the professional placement and marketing of our distribution brands with leading online retailers. As a service provider, we also manage vendor accounts for brand manufacturers and operate online brand shops as a fulfilment provider.

Field sales force

Our field sales force visits 4,400 food retail outlets. Using the latest technology, they schedule orders, take stock, check stores and make price comparisons.

Internal sales team

Our internal sales team handles customer inquiries and offers. Order management records and tracks orders. Our complaints department handles processes where something went wrong.

IT

Our IT department uses EDI to ensure fast and efficient transmission of electronic data such as orders. Our brand partners can use the DMV extranet to view the latest reports.

Logistics

With around 18,000 square metres of warehouse space, collaborations with renowned logistics partners and our own supply chain management department, we are able to handle all aspects of logistics, from forecasting for our brand partners to returns management.

Encashment

We work together with all branches (Markant, REWE, EDEKA).

DMV Diedrichs Markenvertrieb is the sales service provider for brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We manage the distribution of smaller and larger brands and contribute significantly to building these brands. Our customers include all major food retailers and hypermarkets, drugstores, department stores, and perfumeries. We currently have about 120 employees, 29 of whom work in our sales force team and 4 in Key Account Management.

Our range of services covers the entire spectrum of the sales process, including Marketing, Category Management, Logistics / Warehousing right through to encashment.

History

Founded in 1946 as Walter Diedrichs Drogengroßhandlung by the grandfather of the current managing partner Lars Diedrichs. Regional wholesale activities.

Since 1950: extension of operations to all of Germany.

Since 1960: extensive sales activities for renowned brand companies such as 'Penaten', 'Alicina', Brauns-Heitmann', 'EMCUR'.

Since 1979: management takeover by Klaus Diedrichs.
'OTC from one source' including category management for retailers.

1993: company renamed to DMV Diedrichs Markenvertrieb GmbH & Co. KG.

2005: Lars Diedrichs joined the company management.

2010: opening of the new marketing office in Hamburg to sustainably develop 'our' brands.

Since 2013: entry into the Austrian market. German-based supplier for leading drugstores.

2018: new modern high-bay warehouse in Hille. Orders for e-commerce and other special orders continue to be picked and shipped from the warehouse in Bad Pyrmont.

2019/2020: establishment of the Austrian subsidiary B&T DMV. Takeover of bauer & thürridl GmbH operations as part of an asset deal.

2021: entry into the Polish market. Establishment of a national team.
